After months of deliberation, I started Musings of a Reader in May 2014 with the sole purpose of spreading my love for books and fictional characters to the far corners of the world. While I know that with so many amazing bloggers out there, the competition is really stiff for me, but at the same time I believe that with engaging and interesting content, I will be able to make a small yet meaningful impact. The fact that you are reading this right now is proof enough. 🙂
As a blogger, I do believe that writing isn’t necessarily a gift or a talent, but that it is an amazing outlet through which we can express our opinions and feelings. So while I do not claim to be the best writer in town, I definitely know that I find it much more easier to convey my feelings through writings rather than in a physical discussion. I can connect with you better and more easily through my writing. And for me, that is one of the biggest advantages and blessings of being a writer.
So without much ado, I would like to welcome you to my journey that is filled with books, fandoms and fictional characters. I wish that when you leave, you gain a much better insight into the books and characters that I love and admire. In the end, I hope that it inspires you to start/continue your journey into the land of books and reading. As Gaiman rightly says, “Stories you read when you’re the right age never quite leave you. You may forget who wrote them or what the story was called. Sometimes you’ll forget precisely what happened, but if a story touches you it will stay with you, haunting the places in your mind that you rarely ever visit.”
